November 17 - Resort Adventures - Week 46 In The Books

November 17, 2019
Day 321 - 44 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf)

A Summer memory as we enjoy a sleepy Sunday
Another week is in the books as we close in on the end of the year. The weather had given us some near record lows for a few days but has now moderated back to the point where we are flirting with 70's on occasion in the forecast. We all had ambitious plans for the day with a check list of tasks on our "to -do" list. I quietly stayed inside and pretended to be asleep. I think everyone else had the same idea hoping that their phones didn't light up with any of my "Rise and Shine" texts. I've come to the realization that once November hits, the tackle shop finally quiets down, even on weekends. It never fails during the Spring, Summer and most of the Fall, I can count on someone banging on the door early in the morning looking for fishing gear. (Of course that's all my doing, I post a sign telling them to knock loud if I'm not already out there) But today...….. it's like crickets chirping in our corner of the world and I slept in.

A little later on I made my way to the work shop for more sorting and cleaning. but with a cup of hot coffee and a little background music, even that was relaxing.

Adventure Quote: “When a great adventure is launched with a powerful thrust, fatigue in the muscles and doubts in the mind are swept away by a fullness that moves life along like a breath from the depths of the soul.”
