Day 320 - 45 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Chocolate Mintcicles (Chocolate and mint flavor)
I retreated back in the recesses of my work shop today and mostly hid from the world. From the days of moving from our house in Ozark down to the lake resort, most of the shop and shop related supplies have been stacked up in buckets, bins and boxes in the basement. The problem with that is every time I needed a tool or a part of some kind, a long, drawn out game of hide and seek would ensue! Plus, in the basement, EVERYTHING is so dark, even with the lights on, that it felt like a dungeon of sorts. A lot of our business involves new cabin construction as with the Treehouses. But a lot of it also includes "Vintage" cabins. Or a more appropriate term is "Old Cabins". You cannot even imagine the value of racks and more racks and shelves of hardware when it comes to keeping these cabins functional. My "personal hardware store" is an accumulation of not only odds and ends supplies I've accumulated over the years by buying too many of something or the wrong thing. It also includes thousand of pieces still left over from buying out an actual hardware store that was going out of business about 30 plus years ago. My private hardware cache has served me well for decades!

Adventure Quote: “What ifs” are the doorways into new adventures. “Why nots” are the doorknobs. We turn knobs and tug at doors until we find the one that opens for us.”
