Day 337 - 28 Days to go
89 Days Until March 1
89 Days Until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombia)
It's Treehouse Tuesday once again and with Christmas approaching, a little Santa sleigh in the Owl's Roost Treehouse seems appropriate. While there today, I had a chance to see the next three treehouse sites. The very first step in construction is flagging the sites for building permits. (YES, we really do get building permits and follow building codes and deal with inspections) I remember getting the first permit and the quizzical looks we received along with them. I'm not sure what the zoning people thought we were getting into. They were cautiously curious and possibly a little skeptical. Once they showed up for the final inspection of the first treehouse cabin, it was all ooohhhhs and aaahhhh's. They were much less concerned by the 4th and fifth round of construction. I think they actually draw straws to see which one of them gets to come out for the final inspections and occupancy certification. They are fascinating and beautiful. Certainly worth at least one trip and overnight experience of "Sleeping in the Trees"
