Day 41 - 325 Days to go
20 Days Until March 1
20 Days Until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
Okay...… I'm just as interested in the occasional practical joke as the next guy (The next guy being Mitch, in this case) But this is going beyond the "occasional" and becoming a bit too routine. It seems that the most "In Thing" that has developed at the treehouses is to plant live possums in every unsuspecting, and unguarded truck that finds itself sitting around camp. I got my possum treatment a month or so back and now Mitch went to his truck to get some tools and found one looking back at him.
I don't know if a possum is traumatized by finding itself in the back of someone's truck or not. I'm sure this particular possum may have had a moment when it saw Mitch leaning over it. A possum showing up unexpectedly can certainly traumatize anyone reaching in a truck to retrieve a hammer or board and find instead, a smiling face with sharp teeth looking back.
Sigh...… I'm just not sure what to think of this new and disturbing trend. I am sure of one thing......It seems that there is way too much fun on display around camp for it to come to an end anytime soon.
Bring your possum repellent when you come for a visit!

Adventure Quote: “Each new day is an invitation to an adventure of your own making.” (or someone else's making, if possums are involved!_
