Day 377 of the Adventure

I think we've finally figured out why the deer are so obsessed with hanging around LBJ (Little Black Jeep) They either just like Jeeps, or, they are enjoying the easy foraging for acorns on the bare ground where we have cleared for the parking area and driveway. I'd say it has more to do with acorns than the Jeeps. In either case, this is where they were hanging around the first day I had encountered them when they almost caused me to spill my coffee. Deer are just part of the interesting wildlife we've encountered down here in the backwoods. Squirrels, possums, armadillos, all kinds of birds and other small game makes their rounds through the place. We've also had the more exotic varieties as well. Like Bobcats yowling around at each other behind the cabin. There's the "OH WOW" birds that are nearby almost every morning. Various kinds of owls. The award for probably the most creepy sounding critter has been the fox down the hill just the other day.

Deep-woods life. I guess all our wildlife neighbors were here first. Thankfully, they've allowed us to move into the neighborhood and become part of the family.........
