Day 932 of the Adventure
Every year as we come out of the winter months and even a good portion of the spring, it takes a few good rains to bring back the jungle. At least the jungle feel. Now that it's happened this year, I'm feeling like the woods has become this dense and mysterious place. Especially when the rain is dripping off of everything. I've often been tempted to build a covered shelter to go sit in and have a fire out in the deep woods. Perhaps that will still make it onto my to-do list. A dry place to sit in the woods with a fire and a thermos of coffee is an experience everyone should have on occasion. I used to experience them much more frequently than I do now. The irony is that if I simply took the time to get something built, I could enjoy that part of the backwoods living all the time. Now that I think about it..........
