April 6 - The Campfire Trail - Some Fresh Morning Air

Day 918 of the Adventure

There are times when a walk in the woods is the highlight of the day. Especially when there has been a rain and everything is fresh and crisp in the air. I could hear the waterfall from the back deck and decided to explore a little around 7am. We are mostly in a valley and the sun generally takes about an additional half hour to begin peeking through the trees. I managed to keep my feet dry after several crossings of the little stream. I'm getting a little too old to be jumping across it, but as long as it's not roaring too fast, I can usually find some stepping stones to do the job. At times I wonder why it took me until 60 to make my journey back to the land.
