Day 990 of the Adventure


It's still 80 degrees at 9pm tonight but a nice breeze is making a back deck evening actually kind of refreshing. As we sat there, leaves were rustling on the ground to our left out in the woods. It was growing dark enough to not really see what was making the noise. Just a continual shuffling moving closer to us. We assumed deer. Sure enough, a few minutes later, a trio of them moved out into the meadow. While it doesn't look dark enough in the pic to obscure them, getting a picture would not be possible. This was just one of those times where seeing them would have to be enough. They were a little wary of the clinking noise the tiki torch lids were making as the breeze pinged them into the torch poles. The flames probably didn't set them at ease much either. They browsed their way across the lower meadow and back into the forest on the other side. It was a nice end to the day.
