Day 1,343 of the Adventure
They say that one of, if not the hardest part about starting a business is coming up with a good name. I suppose that thought rings true with almost anything. Good names are elusive to me and I have never been any good at it. For example, our YouTube channel has gone through a number of identity changes always trying to improve upon the "relatability" of the name to the content. The last one, The Campfire Trail" is probably here to stay. It was meant to inspire thoughts of campfires and trails. See what I mean. I suck at this! Even though there are probably hundreds of better names, I just can't really think of any. As it turns out though, it's probably quite fitting. We are never at a loss for a good time to start a campfire, and, we have had them everywhere down here. The "Trail" of campfires included two areas up close to the road while we were clearing and building our long driveway. Then we moved down closer to where the garden is as we extended the driveway. After that, we set up a nice fire pit near where we planned our original cabin site. That got changed due to a zoning issue over to where it is now. After that, there was the fire pit near the existing cabin where we now park the vehicles. Once the cabin was built, we moved the campfire area into a stand of trees immediately to the east of the cabin. It remained there for over a year. When we started the garden spot, we built a fire ring there to enjoy while we worked the garden and to dispose of garden debris. When we dug the basement for our house, the stand of trees east of the cabin were removed for the basement excavation so we moved it closer to the cabin for convenience. Now that we are cleaning up the area between the cabin and house site, it's the campfire has been relocated once again. It's now surrounding a large stump I didn't have the patience to try to remove. behind the house site. SO here we are the most recent instalment of the Campfire Trail!
Carry On
Adventure Quote: “You don’t have to say everything to be a light. Sometimes a fire built on a hill will bring interested people to your campfire.” ―
