The Coffee Roaster
Many of my mornings start out at The White River Coffee Company just up the hill from our Rockaway Beach resort properties. The typical morning crowd consists of Dean, the owner, Greg another local "coffee guy" and me. I refer to Dean and Greg as "Coffee Guys" because they are both authentic coffee guys. Me on the other hand. I'm a coffee guy too but only in the drinking of it and the making of wise crack remarks to their "Coffee Guy" antics. The difference is that they, unlike me, can actually taste, and more importantly, describe what they're tasting when drinking coffee. I, can taste the differences but have no clue as how to describe it. To make matters worse, they have recently purchased a coffee roaster and have taken their game up a notch. Of course with their new level of coffee sophistication, I also have taken my game of heckling up a notch as well. They have vowed to let no bean leave the building until they have perfected their blends, which may even include pictures of the process. So this pic may have gotten me banished from the coffee beanery.

The rest of the day today will be consumed with spread sheets of the Project X. This is the time consuming, mundane process of convincing people that you have a good idea. I remember trying to do this with the Treehouses. I basically had to write about one third of a novel on that one. Being treehouses, it was viewed as a "work of fiction"..... I guess. At least that's how many of our bankers looked at it. The funny part is that once it had proven it's success, many of them offered to jump in and work with us. Sometimes I feel like when that happens you have to remind them that you dance with the one that brought you. Interestingly, the one that got us into the treehouse project appears to be the same one that may get us into our Project X deal. That would be fitting.

When you see someone putting on his Big Boots, you can be pretty sure that an Adventure is going to happen!
