Day 45 - 320 Days to go
15 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (2nd time this week but it tastes that good)
Yesterday I mentioned that we were beginning to take an increased number of boat and cabin reservations finally. That trend continued today with a couple more cabin rentals and six more boat reservations. I'm going to have to start letting people know that if they plan a June or July vacation here, they better get with it on the reservations.
I made my ever increasing typical 7am supply run this morning and swung by the White River Coffee Company for coffee and biscuits and gravy. It was then that I realized that today was Valentines Day. The tip-off was Dean, the proprietor, making Valentines Day chocolate dipped and drizzled strawberries. Upon arriving home this evening, I discovered that I was in charge of making Valentines Dinner. Shelley had already created a menu for me which included "Winks" These were not the ordinary, every day winks. They were made with "Smokies" and Croissant rolls. Worthy of a place in our "Cabin Food" Pinterest board. You need to check out the link for a selection of foods that are either favorites or potential favorites of the Cabin Life.

The Last Resort Project
The last two days included making some repairs that should allow us to get cabins five and six back up and going by sometime next week. Among other things that we brought back from our Ozark house yesterday was about 50 gallons (or partial gallons) of paint. We seem to accumulate paint from working on the rent houses. A lot of which is purchased in 5 gallon buckets. We are certain that there will be plenty of paint to get a lot of fresh, clean color added to the cabins. Our friend Ray stopped by (who is a local artist and has done murals around the area) he was asking if there was any painting that needed done...…….What a silly question!
Stand by for color!
