Day 64 - 301 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (Butterscotch and Rum flavors)
There was a time only a few years ago when I couldn't wait to start the next rehab/renovation project. The urge got worse when we started renovating vacation cabins. Why? Well when renovating a house, you pretty much are expected to "Color Inside the Lines". Meaning the job usually needs to stay pretty conventional. When working on cabins and especially treehouses, coloring outside the lines is expected. You are kind of expected to create a memorable experience. This makes a project fun due mostly to the creativity needed to come up with "New and Different" every time.

The Last Resort Project:
Today was another fairly full day at The Last Resort. I finally made it past the pine walls and began installing the tongue and groove ceiling over the area where the new kitchen cabinets will be going. Shelley was busy painting in another room and texturing the walls and ceiling in yet another. She's doing her famous texture that you will find in many of our cabins, our house and even a few of the treehouses. (I'll make sure to get pictures as it gets a little farther along)
I am noticing that my version of "Where's Waldo" has begun to emerge again now that we have a couple cabin projects under way. Some of you won't know what that means but others of you certainly should. The rest will have to figure it out. (There's a hint in the second picture today)
NOW...… It's off to get PIZZA!
“No single mountain ever came to me...
so I always go to them”
