Day 132 - 234 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
Every now and then you see a sight you just don't see every day. Today, for example, that sight came in the form of Joe from Mid-River Marina passing by our place with a dock. Yes, an entire dock. It wasn't necessarily all that big, but still, you don't see a dock motoring past your place all that often. I went out and got a video of it and accused him of taking the idea of a "Party Barge" a little too seriously. When that didn't get a rise out of him, I said he looked like he was simply trying to skirt around maximum boat capacity regulations by adding more floating square footage. That didn't really work either. So finally I asked him if he wanted to race me now! That got a response, but not one I can publish. LOL.
Actually, he had called me earlier and told me he would be driving by with a dock this morning and figured I'd want a video of it. He got one from up the lake a ways and was transporting it back to his marina. It's just another one of those things that you do or see when the lake is a part of your lifestyle adventures. This is the second dock he's brought down from up the lake...……. I hope...……. No, never mind!

The Last Resort Project: I've already got a call today from the guys who will be working with me on the Last Resort. They were letting me know they would be there tomorrow. I will too so I think you'll start seeing some decent progress.
“Most of us will have no idea where we are going most of the time. And I know that is unsettling.
But circumstantial uncertainty also goes by another name: Adventure.”
