Day 131 - 234 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
I spent the rainy morning picking up supplies and then playing "Mr. Electrical Man" around the house. Then "Mr. Plumbing Man" at one of the cabins. The fixing of little odds and ends things is always an option on rainy days when things are slow in the tackle shop. My list was done by 10am so I thought I may have been able to take it easy and rest of the day today. I figured if the sun came out, it would get busy, but if not, it may stay slow.
Well the sun never did come out, but fishermen did. We booked out almost all of our kayaks for the entire afternoon to a bunch of guys determined to catch fish. It's a sport that has been really catching on over the past few years and we see a lot of them in the Summer. This hasn't been the first bunch to rent kayaks this Spring but it was the most serious group so far. I gave them the "family and group rules": No kayak tipping, paddle whacking, eye gouging, hair pulling, rock throwing or sinking of each others kayaks. They said they would never do that. But they did look like family so you never know for sure. I'm sure they'll all make it back safely!

The Last Resort Project: Being the weekend and having a number of guests coming and going, I have to stick pretty close to the tackle shop today. So no Last Resort work got done today.
