Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Colombia/Costa Rica blend)
Today is the day that the July 4th crowd begins to descend upon the Rainbow Haven Resort. Every year for the past 25 years or so, the Taylor's, Graham's, Mr. Rick and Georgian along with all their families, roll in for their annual reunion.
We get a lot of groups that come in throughout the year. This group usually stays the longest and has stronger ties than most. They all live hundreds of miles apart, but when the 4th rolls around, they're just like family and friends who haven't seen each other in way too long. They've adopted Shelley and I into their "Tribe" and we are proud to be members.
I still keep a wary eye out for Ashliegh (you can see her standing by the wall near the pool) I pulled a bit of a practical joke on her three years ago before knowing her very well. As jokes go, IT WAS EPIC! The problem is that she has not yet retaliated and it's been three years. She's very sweet, but part of me believes she is simply masking all that sweetness in a diabolical plan to catch me off-guard at some point and exact her retribution upon me! I wouldn't blame her if, or perhaps when, she does...…. I will have earned it!
