Day 305 - 60 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Caramel Apple (Seasonal Flavor)
I'm tempted to start my "90 Days 'til Spring" countdown early and call it "120 Days 'til Spring". But I won't! I think the Fall and Winter is going to pass pretty quickly this year without pushing it along with a countdown. I spent the entire day trying to get a "Master Plan" together for all of the resorts for this off season. We are dealing with one less resort right now than we were before after the sale of Cross Timbers Cabins. That doesn't mean the task is much less daunting. Each of them have things that need accomplished and the off season is the best time for some of that.
The resort business is something we never truly planned to get into. It happened almost by accident with our purchase of four tiny cabins to renovate into a private family retreat. It grew out of control with the purchase of fours properties over the course of the first five years. Now, as we prepare to grow even more, the task of giving them all the attention that they deserve takes some planning and coordination. There are days (Like Today) when it feels like a full time job, and I suppose it is. But a full time job planning the future of resort businesses is actually pretty fun!
