Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Colombia/Costa Rica blend)
Tuesdays have turned into Treehouse Day for us and for right now, the task is a little bit daunting. Not only are we reworking our staff positions, but we are planning a major upgrade to six of the cabins and planning for the new construction of three more treehouse cabins. There are A LOT of moving parts with this "Resort Adventure" and is by far our most ambitious project.
We work hard to make sure that each one is very different from the others to make each experience unique. The research that goes into it all is fun but also a little exhausting. There aren't many examples to work from. Most of it is "make it up as you go". The best part of that is there are no rules (aside from building codes) but the design is wide open. If we can imagine it (and execute it) we can do what whatever we figure out is physically possible. The hard part is trying to figure out how to squeeze so much fun into a small little footprint of a space.
