Day 307 - 58 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
Week 44 has come and gone this year at the Resorts. The resort business can be divided into three seasons. Preparing for the mayhem. Mayhem. And finally, recovering from the mayhem. We are entering into recovery mode right now. Mayhem is probably not the right word for it but it's close. Pandemonium might be better. But whatever you choose to call it, it's finally begun to die down for the year. Actually, I love the mayhem when it's happening. There's nothing quite as exciting as when business is busy and people are having a great time enjoying something you are providing for their enjoyment. But I also Love the other two parts of the year beginning with recovery. (Cruises happen during the preparation and recovery part of the year)
With November here, we are now trying to re-collect our scattered senses and our scattered sense of where we left everything throughout the Summer. One thing that get's put away each year in an organized fashion (Thanks to Shelley) are the Christmas decorations. The reason is partly because they come out of storage and go back into storage between the annual "Mayhem's". She spent a good part of the day working on them and got an awful lot done. (even though there were still a couple of trees still lying down on the job at the end of it) I doubt if it will take her much longer to get it all ready. This year we will have a bit of a surprise around the pool at Christmas time. You'll have to stop by some evening and take a look...… and a listen!

Adventure Quote: “I’m in search of something more than a new place. I’m in search of a feeling and a state of being: that magical time when you can’t possibly predict what’s going to happen next or whom you are going to meet or where they are going to take you. In this state, everything flows, every surprise is a delight, and new people guide you to special adventures.”
