Day 892 of the Adventure
I've been a little bit stuck in camping and cabin mode for a few days now. I think it stems from the idea we will be having a couple of grandkids here to camp at the cabin with us later in the week. Camping has always been such a wonderful tradition in our family, and we are excited to extend that tradition into the next generation. Things like this have to be intentional or they typically will never happen. I suppose it's that way with most anything. Probably the most justice you can provide for the early campouts is one of success. Something that does not leave a bad impression on the newest of campers. With that said, we intend to go out of the way to make the experience a fun one. Even though as of now, we are expecting some rain, the coziness of the cabin will certainly offer an alternative to the outdoors activities. I have no doubt we will be offering an update on the whole thing in just a few days. Regardless of weather, we do intend to get a campfire going, Even if it's a covered one. There's no greater ritual in camping than that of the campfire. Plus, what kid alive doesn't love to poke sticks in a fire! My Adventure Quote today says. "...fires are only dangerous if they get bored. Left alone they get frustrated and resort to evil. Best way to keep a fire happy is to let it lick food and hear stories”
