June 6 - The Campfire Trail - New Garden Addition on D-Day Anniversary

Day 979 of the Adventure


I didn't realize this when I started the day. About half way through stringing up the new garden flag pole, it dawned on me that it was the anniversary of the D-Day landing in France. How appropriate to raise the flag on such a significant day. That wasn't necessarily the intention. I simply wanted to display a patriotic symbol of freedom and there's none better than the Stars and Stripes. So, as we continue developing the character of our backwoods garden and homestead, one more improvement can be crossed off the list.
