Christmas Eve at The Resorts. While we do have guests both at the Treehouses and at Rainbow Haven Resort, it is a quiet day and peaceful day. We drove over to Branson to pick up some supplies for our annual family Christmas Eve get-together...….. However peaceful it is down here by the lake, it was exactly the opposite in town. I suppose it was the "last minute Christmas shoppers" that had streets and stores clogged up to the point of misery.
It's now 67 days until March and the beginning of Spring (in my calendar) We are open for business at all locations all winter but surviving until March is always the very first wintertime goal. Our day was spent mostly in the company of family so we were gone pretty much all day. Our guests assured me that they would be around the area visiting family as well so there was nothing to worry about. The weather has been so mild that it really doesn't feel like Christmas. But that's coming from someone who was born and raised in central Iowa where Christmas is usually white.
Our home/office/warehouse/workshop/global headquarters is where we display the tree and it shares a space with just about everything we do for both work and play. This year the space includes "infant toys" as you can see in the background. This year we celebrate Christmas with a new grandson (our very first "grand") We enjoy his company three to four times per week and that alone makes the season special.
Merry Christmas from all of us at the resorts
