Day 232 - 133 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Colombia/Costa Rica blend)
This season has been a roller coaster of a season for us. We got to experience a minor Springtime flood, left the country with some friends for a week, traveled to Florida for two weeks early in the Summer for a wedding. Experienced a "low water" event for the entire month of July preventing us from conducting our boat rental and gas sales business. The passing of my mom last month. The pending sale of our Cross Timbers Cabins property. In all of that..... We are still experiencing a record year for the resorts.
BUT TODAY...… something inside me said "MAKE THE CALL"
Once the Summer Mayhem dies down a little..... We are bound for Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica!
AND, we are taking a couple of our Treehouse Adventure Partners with us!

The Last Resort Project
The guys have been busy as they can be repairing the floor in cabin 5. One of their biggest challenges by far is my tendency to disrupt their work. As they jump from one priority to the next, I am constantly adding to their list.
I think they hate seeing me come up the hill.
By now, you've probably figured out that we have a buyer for our Cross Timbers Cabins location. The closing will be in about a week. It will be getting a new owner ready to start his "Resort Adventure". I say this because the "Last Resort" (time for a new name) is also for sale. The price is low for the number of cabins that are there and the big pool. It now has a stable income, many critical improvements are complete and there is a good momentum happening there right now.
“There will always be those who feel more comfortable not venturing from the warmth of the hearth, but there are those who prefer to look out the window and wonder what is beyond the horizon.”
