Day 983 of the Adventure
It was a beautiful foggy morning today. I hustled my way up to the garden just after sunrise to capture a bit of it. It was peaceful. After a weekend of hosting grandkids, I was tempted to revert back to the "Camp Run-Amuck" moniker for our place. I need to figure out how to tap all that energy. If I could, I don't think I have anything strong enough to store it in! The kids love the backwoods experience. The only real problem arises when we are dodging rainstorms and get stuck inside the cabin for any length of time. That is much too confining for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. Nevertheless, good memories were made by all, and we now have a day to recuperate before another one arrives tomorrow. It's a good life whether it's the peace and quiet of a foggy morning in the garden or the fast-paced mayhem of grandkids running about, laughing and having fun. But it is a new week. There's a lot of projects on our agenda, but today is going to be an intentionally lazy day. I think we'll get an asparagus bed planted and if that goes well, perhaps a rhubarb bed will bind its way into the garden.
And, I'm still thinking about that cucumber sandwich I mentioned the other day! I'll have to go see how those are coming along.
